My addiction to raas started in college, the first time I learned to
twirl a dandia while maniacally shaking my head and hopping from one
foot to the other. But for pure, unbridled joy, nothing beats the sweet
sound of two freshly-twirled dandias clicking together. My head shakes
just thinking about it. Although I must confess -- when I first started
learning the joyous dance that is raas, I would always crack myself up
by hitting my partner's dandias as violently as possible, in a juvenile
attempt to knock them out of their hands. Sometimes I'd hit fingers,
which wasn't good, though just as humorous. Fortunately, I've learned
the error of my ways, and now treat raas with the utmost respect it
deserves.
Listen people. This is RAAS. It's an art form. You'd better recognize.
